Power of Gratitude

It’s mid-December, which means everyone is in a frenzied pace to wrap up work commitments and shift their energy to personal and family commitments.

This has been a remarkable year of growth for the Mollard Consulting team with a record number of team members (10 employees and five subcontractors) and clients (53). We also spoke at more conferences and facilitated more webinars and workshops than ever before. Another significant area of growth was in our board governance counsel. In 2024, we facilitated 68 board trainings or retreats, which is five to six per month on average.

Neither this growth nor this impact is possible without you – our clients and our colleagues who hire us, refer us, collaborate with us, and strategize with us. We are grateful for your years of partnership and friendship, but especially during this year of abundance and change.

The Mollard Consulting team grew in numbers but also in their knowledge, skill, and ability. I am exceedingly proud of them and am grateful beyond words for their dedication to the company, our clients, and the larger community.

We know how important it is to reflect on gratitude – even when we are frenzied. We offer these additional reflections as you think about your own team and their work.

  • To all donors who believe deeply in the nonprofits they support – your gifts are like rocket fuel for mission impact and we hope you know how important your philanthropy is for the sector and our community. Thank you for your generosity.
  • Our fundraising and philanthropy colleagues who are working feverishly to process and record gifts and grants – thank you for your diligence through the holidays to ensure every donor is engaged and acknowledged (note: this link includes tips to help).
  • All board members who are helping the staff make follow up donor calls and send thank you notes – we appreciate your willingness to support fundraising and know that your effort makes an impact.
  • For all volunteers who greet guests, answer phones, support programs, and build connections – your gift of time is vitally important, and we thank your generosity of spirit as nonprofits could not achieve all that they do without volunteers.
  • Chief executives who lead nonprofits of all sizes – thank you for your leadership and we hope you have some rest and respite this holiday season, as we know heroes who seem tireless are humans who are quite tired.
  • All the front line and program staff members – your ability to find solutions to meet ever-increasing needs never ceases to amaze us. Thank you for your dedication to the mission and impact of your organization, and on behalf of a grateful community – THANK YOU!

We wish everyone a joyous holiday season of gratitude.
