My Mission:
“Help men and women discover their passion to help people in need,
so they can gain the courage to make a difference in their community.”
By Ron Smith, The Bridge to Kindness
Perhaps you have been given circumstances that, at the time, didn’t make sense. But then, in one single moment of time (Kairos), it all becomes clear how you are supposed to use those life challenges to help others and to encourage others to do the same.
Kairos Gratitude – What does it mean?
The definition of Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning ‘the right or critical moment’ – a moment of decision or action. It can be a critical or decisive moment. Many of us can think of moments like this in our lifetime that have shaped us into who we are today. A difficult decision to make, or the result of an event, determined the direction my life would go.
You never truly realize how important each of these moments (Kairos) are in your life, until one day, one moment, it all comes together to make sense, and you discover your true purpose of why you are who you are and why you are here. You then will want to tell everyone you can that they can have that same experience, become a difference maker, and make an impact on the world around them. At least that is how it happened for me!
Why now, and why is this important to understand?
It is important to identify the gifts and talents you have been given and identify where you can use them effectively, by using those gifts on a regular basis to make an impact.
Follow this simple algebraic math equation on how to effectively use your spiritual gifts:
G (D + A + P) = GD + GA + GP = T
The first step of the equation is to identify your Gifts (G) through Discovery (D). Discover what your gifts and talents are. Take a Gift Assessment. Second, make an Action Plan (A). List places you can be involved to use those gifts. Finally, take action and Participate (P) with those groups and organizations in your Action Plan. The result, or sum, will result in Transformation (T). This is the Transformation you will feel in your life from helping others. The Transformation you will experience in your own life will be amazing, and you will begin to build what I will refer to as a Bridge to Kindness by supporting others.
Think about your life experiences: the road you have traveled, the relationships you’ve made, the career path you’ve chosen, and the circumstances you have overcome. ALL these experiences have put you in a position to help others on their journey; to share your encouragement, knowledge, and motivation. Take time to think through why you are where you are, and how you can make an impact by using your gifts to enrich the lives of others. It’s an incredible feeling to know you have made an impact.
I feel so blessed and fortunate to be able to help people in need by using the relationships I have built through the years and through my own life experiences. It is not by chance that any of this has happened. It was all a part of a greater plan. God knew who I was and what I would become before I was even born!
