As of March 1, 2018, 1.5 million donors made 2.6 million donations valued at $313 billion for 35,430 nonprofits.
In February 2018, donors gave 2.3% less than in February 2017. And 95% of donors gave fewer than five times per year. Human services is the most popular cause, followed by health care, for number of donations, but by total amount donated, education comes in second.
