Working together to support the power of the stage
At a critical time in its 55-year history, Columbus Children’s Theatre was contemplating how to manage growth.
Columbus Children’s Theatre has a proud local history and a future full of possibilities. A new executive director seized opportunities to build the organization’s capacity by partnering with Mollard Consulting to manage the theatre’s grants research and writing processes.
We went to work to translate the theatre’s philosophy and programmatic impact into donor-centered, compelling narratives to generate successful fundraising.
Our work included:
- Writing cases for support
- Researching potential funders
- Creating a grants calendar
- Writing and submitting grant applications and reports
- Coaching the staff to build its capacity
We continued this grant work in the second year of our partnership with Columbus Children’s Theatre. In addition, we facilitated a productive board retreat. The outcome: a strategic framework to provide clarity on mission, vision, values, customer, and priorities for the next two years.
