It’s here! This is the week when 400,000 people descend on the riverfront for the annual Columbus Arts Festival, produced by the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) and powered by the American Electric Power Foundation.
The Columbus Arts Festival is one of our favorite events.
- 250 visual artists, who were chosen in a competitive, juried process, will have their creativity on display with their works for sale.
- The Festival Guidebook is the go-to guide for all the weekend activities.
- There are four stages for musicians, dancers, poets, and actors. The performance schedule is full of shows for a variety of audiences.
- Friday night includes a new runway show that features Columbus-based fashion designers.
- Hands-on activities designed specifically for children and families.
- An immersive lighting installation will be projected on Rich Street.
- The neighboring Franklinton Arts District will have an art garden walk.
- 19 emerging local artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work.
- The following is a map of the Festival, but our friends at GCAC also have an accessibility map that includes sensory rooms, an air-conditioned room for nursing, and a universal-design changing station.
